I'm really not going to talk about Michael Vick

Due to some unbelievable happening in Dallas during Superbowl weekend, I was going to revisit and rant about the original charges against Michael Vick - but I won't.  Just another uneducated, coddled, pro athlete with some lucky genes living the thug life.  Throw a touchdown pass and you're forgiven.

The event that spurred my wanting to revisit Mr. Vick's contributions to the community was the unbelievable cartoon scene of him being presented a "key to the city" in Dallas.  If it was a Saturday Night Live skit, I'd have laughed.  "That's funny - haha - that could never happen."  Well, it did. 

The illustrious, gadfly, "man of the people" Mayor Pro Tem Dwaine Caraway saw fit to honor Mr. Vick.  But - I won't rail about that.  Nor will I rant about the lying, illegal gambling Caraway.  Won't do it.  Not his behind-the-scenes protection of an illegal gambling house he frequents, nor his public lies regarding he and his wife fighting, nor his expectation of special treatment by police.  Won't bring it up.  Caraway has graced Dallas by announcing he won't run for Mayor when current Mayor Tom Leppert leaves to run for Senate.  But none of the above supposedly affected his decision to not run - yet.  Yeah, okay.
