"If my friends on the other side of the aisle want to strip funding from NPR because they believe -- wrongly, in my view -- that NPR is biased, then we should be given the same opportunity" and prevent taxpayer dollars from being used for advertising "on the partisan political platform of Fox News." Rep. Jim McGovern, D-Massachussetts
Okay, Jim - I'm thinking there's a difference between handing NPR millions in taxpayer dollars "just because" vs. paying for advertising on a for-profit, astronomically more successful network. So, how might the US Gov't "support" Fox?
The Armed Forces are heavy advertisers on Fox. You need bodies to be "America, World Cop" (cue the epic music) - advertising on a more conservative network is the way to find them. Advertise on MSNBC and of the 128 people watching, you'll get approximately -237% of the viewers filing to their local recruiters.
The IRS is another big advertiser - simply reminding you that you are indeed, for another year, a victim of extortion. Thanks for the reminder, boys.
So, Mr. McGovern, whose brain has been sucked out and severed with scissors by one of the late-term abortionists he supports, maybe you should rethink your efforts. Then again, maybe you shouldn't. To do so would be such a surprise, we all might need a Spring brain sucking.
